Day 16: Poached Pears with Ice Cream (30 Days of Vegan Recipes)

These poached pears with ice cream make the most simple, elegant, delicious dessert. I served my poached pears with a vegan vanilla bean ice cream made from coconut milk, all the flavors combined really well, making this dessert so rich. Take a look:

Ingredients:
2 bosc pears (peeled, sliced in half and core removed)
1 cup 100% white grape juice
1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
5 whole cloves
Vegan ice cream

Directions:
Mix grape juice, cinnamon and cloves. Place pears in a saucepan, pour mixture over pears. Bring to a simmer over medium heat, cover and cook for about 15 minutes. Remove pears and place into individual dishes. Continue to simmer juice until decreased by half, about 5 minutes. Pour over pears. Serve with your favorite vegan ice cream. Enjoy!
